Moringa tea leaves provide 42 percent of the recommended daily minimum requirement for protein, and 125 percent of the recommended daily minimum requirement for calcium. The B-vitamins in moringa leaves also help you digest and convert food to energy and may increase your metabolism. Moringa leaves may be eaten raw, cooked or taken as a tea, making them a convenient food and nutrition source.
Moringa tea has a wide safety margin and is proven to supply much needed nutrients to the body as well as help fight free radicals with the 46 anti oxidants found in its leaves. Moringa is rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is a powerful anti-oxidant: besides inhibiting the growth of cancer cells. It has been classified as a GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) food source without any negative secondary effects.
